CAMDENTON, MO- The Kirkwood Eagles Golf Team turned in a strong early-season showing at the Verhille Invitational (March 9–10) at Old Kinderhook Resort and Golf Club in Camdenton, Missouri, finishing third overall in a competitive field while also placing their second squad, Kirkwood B, right behind in fourth.

Sargeant shot an even par on the front 9 in his second round and proceeded to birdie holes 11, 12, 15, and 16 on his back 9 to cap off an amazing round. His ability to bounce back and dominate the second round proved to be the difference, vaulting him to the top of the leaderboard.
