Josh Fitzgerald named ICCAC Athlete of the Week: March 15-21

The Kirkwood Eagles went 3-1 last week and had a run differential of +38 in their first conference series of the year against Southeastern. Center fielder Josh Fitzgerald started his first season of conference play about as well as he could have imagined. Batting .500 (7-14) on the week and Fitzgerald also showed his pop. Of his seven hits, five were for extra bases, including four home runs and 8 RBI. He scored 12 times throughout the four-game set and stole four bases as well.
