JD Pollard tied a Kirkwood golf record last weekend at the Klocke Classic, shooting a round of 66. He caught fire in the final six holes when he birdied five of them. He then broke a school record the next day, shooting 3-under par 69, and finishing 9-under for the tournament. His 9-under 135 was an Eagle best. Pollard won the event by six shots over his teammate Brandon McCarty.  Kirkwood also won the event by 20 strokes over second-place Mt. Mercy. Next up is the ICCAC Spring Preview at The Preserve at Lake Rathbun in Moravia on Sept. 20.
