Eagles Explode for Season-High 111 in Dominant Win Over NIACC

Cedar Rapids, IA- The #16 Kirkwood Eagles Men's Basketball Team delivered a statement performance Saturday afternoon in Johnson Hall, overwhelming the NIACC Trojans in a dominant 111–76 victory that completed the season sweep and marked a season-high point total for the Eagles.

After defeating NIACC on the road earlier this season, Kirkwood came in focused on asserting control from the opening tip—and did exactly that. The Eagles jumped out early with relentless pace, efficient shooting, and constant pressure on both ends of the floor. Kirkwood never trailed in the contest, building a commanding lead that ballooned to 54–33 at halftime, a staggering 21-point advantage that set the tone for the rest of the game.

The second half only amplified the dominance. Kirkwood continued to pour it on with balanced scoring, crisp ball movement, and strong interior play, outscoring the Trojans 57–43 after the break to cruise to the 35-point victory. The Eagles shot an impressive 60 percent from the field and nearly 55 percent from three-point range, showcasing one of their most complete offensive performances of the season.

Individually, Kirkwood was powered by a deep and explosive offensive effort. Cole Marsh led all scorers with 22 pointson an ultra-efficient shooting night while also dishing out six assistsChris Coleman followed with 19 points, knocking down four three-pointers, while Ben Bockman added 17 points and eight reboundsManasse Kasongo was dominant inside with 15 points on high-percentage shooting, and Grayson Wollum contributed 13 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

Kirkwood's depth proved overwhelming, as the Eagles controlled the paint, generated second-chance opportunities, and consistently won the effort plays. The ball movement was sharp throughout, with the Eagles piling up assists and keeping constant pressure on the Trojans' defense.
