#10 Eagles Make Statement at Home with 32-Point Win
Cedar Rapids, IA- The #10 Kirkwood Men's Basketball Team responded in a big way on Wednesday night, getting back into the win column with a commanding 93–61 victory over Southwestern Community College in ICCAC play inside Johnson Hall.
Kirkwood set the tone early, jumping out to a 41–27 halftime lead before turning up the pressure in the second half. The Eagles poured in 52 points after the break, using their depth and physicality to pull away and secure a 32-point win on their home floor.
The Eagles' attack was balanced and efficient throughout the night. Tyler Netolicky anchored the interior with a strong double-double, finishing with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Ben Bockman provided a perimeter spark, knocking down four three-pointers on his way to 15 points, while Cole Marsh added 15 points off the bench to fuel Kirkwood's second-half surge.
Kirkwood's dominance showed up across the stat sheet. The Eagles controlled the paint, won the rebounding battle, and capitalized on turnovers, all while getting meaningful contributions from their bench in a complete team performance.
With the win, Kirkwood builds momentum heading into a marquee road test. The Eagles will travel to Boone, Iowa, on January 3rd for a showdown against the #2 DMACC Bears.
