Kirkwood Controls Road Win in Columbus

Columbus, NE- The #14 Kirkwood Eagles Men's Basketball team left no doubt on Saturday afternoon in Columbus, Nebraska, pulling away from the Central CC Raiders for an 88–67 road victory. Looking to avenge an earlier loss this season, the Eagles took control early and maintained it throughout, never allowing Central to build momentum.

Kirkwood set the tone in the opening half with efficient shooting and strong ball movement, building a 45–37 advantage at the break. The Eagles consistently attacked the paint and punished Central's mistakes, turning defensive stops into quality offensive possessions as the lead steadily grew.

Offensively, Kirkwood leaned on balance and depth. Ben Bockman paced the Eagles with 18 points, knocking down four three-pointers to stretch the floor. Manasse Kasongo provided a strong presence inside with 14 points and six rebounds, while Chris Coleman added 12 points and five assists to keep the offense organized. Grayson Wollum chipped in 12 points off the bench, helping Kirkwood maintain its edge throughout the second half.

On the defensive end, the Eagles were just as effective, holding Central to 42.6 percent shooting and winning the paint battle 42–24. Kirkwood also capitalized on turnovers, scoring 22 points off Raider miscues and limiting Central's opportunities to mount a comeback.
