#2 Kirkwood Handles #11 NIACC in Key ICCAC Road Win
MASON CITY, Iowa — The #2 Kirkwood Eagles women's basketball team delivered a strong early-season statement Wednesday night, knocking off #11 NIACC 85–68 in Mason City. Kirkwood exploded for 28 first-quarter points, weathered NIACC's second-quarter push, and then controlled the game with a dominant third frame.
Aaliyah Riley powered the Eagles with 17 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds, while Kennedy Blakely added 15 pointsand knocked down four threes. Olivia Wren chipped in 14 points, and Dasia Foster was a force inside with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Off the bench, Kaci Crum provided a major spark with 13 points on efficient shooting.
Kirkwood shot 50% from the field, hit 10 threes, and out-rebounded NIACC 43–35 in a complete team performance.
