Muhl Reaches 1,100 as No. 7 Eagles Control Iowa Central in ICCAC Showdown

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – Inside Johnson Hall on Wednesday night, the #7 Kirkwood Eagles delivered a wire-to-wire performance in an 81-45 victory over Iowa Central, a win that not only strengthened their grip atop the ICCAC standings but etched another milestone into the storied career of legendary head coach Kim Muhl.

With the win, Muhl secured his 1,100th career victory—yet another remarkable achievement in a Hall of Fame résumé that continues to grow.

From the opening tip, Kirkwood set the tone. The Eagles raced out to a 22-10 first-quarter lead, extended it to 46-26 at halftime, and never looked back. They won every quarter—22-10, 24-16, 21-8, and 14-11—showcasing control on both ends of the floor.

Kirkwood shot 50 percent in both the first and second quarters and 53.3 percent in the third, finishing the night at 44.4 percent from the field. The Eagles dominated inside, outscoring Iowa Central 42-10 in the paint and winning the rebounding battle 50-28.

Leading the charge was Erianna Moeschter, who poured in 22 points on an efficient 10-of-14 shooting while adding seven rebounds. Whitney Sullivan added 11 points, and Dasia Foster provided a spark off the bench with 10 points in just 10 minutes.

Molly Roling knocked down three triples on her way to nine points, while Madison Stowater controlled the glass with a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with six points. Bra'Ja Torry orchestrated the offense with nine assists, helping Kirkwood rack up 24 assists as a team.

The Eagles' depth was once again on display, as Kirkwood's bench outscored Iowa Central's reserves 35-6.
